Are you a high school student preparing for a college or conservatory audition in acting or musical theatre? If so, make the decision to embark on a transformative journey towards your artistic future and learn to harness your creative Individuality with Michael Chekhov Certified teacher John Smiley.

Sessions are designed exclusively to meet the creative and artistic needs of each individual. Students will explore self-confidence and self-expression through exercises and activities aimed to bring out their personal best in any audition scenario. Topics will include: finding and developing audition material (monologue and musical theatre repertoire), interview skills, performance anxiety and resume writing.

John Smiley has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The University of Texas at Austin. He has performed and directed professionally in New York City and across the United States and Canada in a career spanning 25 years. John specializes in the Meisner Acting Technique and the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique.
